Steps to reproduce:

1. Collapse a thread with no tags on any message in the thread.
2. Pick a tag with spaces in its name (like "To do") and apply it to the (collapsed) thread.


Actual results:

All messages will be tagged, but the tag name doesn't appear in the "conversation summary" view.  Also, removing the tag from the collapsed thread only removes it from the first message.  Moreover, selecting a different message or thread, then re-selecting the original thread only displays the first message, not the "conversation summary."

Finally, trying to archive or move the thread to another folder gives same behavior as in Bug 920489.


Expected results:

- Tag should be visible in "conversation summary" as having been applied to all messages in conversation.
- When removing tag, it should be removed from all messages in conversation, not just the first.
- Entire conversation should still be displayed, not just first message.
Hi. I reported bug Bug 920489. Thanks for report. I recommend marking my Bug 920489 as an duplicate of Bug 921481 because Bug 921481 is more general. This seems to make this bug confirmed. I use this feature a lot. Don't you think this (Bug 921481) should be upgraded to Importance: major? I already voted above for it to be fixed. Thanks.
I think you (houstontyoung@yahoo.com) have option to set bug to "Importance: major" above.
Yes, since this breaks earlier behavior it should be fixed.

Bug 920489 should be marked as a duplicate of this bug, since the behavior in 920489 is subsumed in the description above.
Maybe we should vote for it above to get attention.
The workaround for me was to replace spaces with '_' sign via 'Manage Tags'. It seems to work, and all tagged messages are updated instantly. I think tag is just a number and the name is just simple name association.
Yes, I used the same workaround.  I *do* think it should be fixed, though, since spaces in tag names were never an issue in previous releases.
