Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130910160258 Steps to reproduce: Google isn't the only search provider that provides suggestions. I've seen them from many Wikimedia-based sites. I know you have to be careful not to check too many engines at once. So why not do what Firefox desktop does? There, when the user wants to search with a engine other than the default, they change the selected engine before typing. With Firefox for Android, this would be a simple tap on the desired engine before any search terms are entered. If the user changes his or her mind, he or she would be able to search with a different engine any time after entering the desired terms using the existing UI. Actual results: There are no search suggestions for engines other than Google. Expected results: Let users specify a search engine before entering terms by tapping the desired engine.
