User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/29.0.1547.76 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Install Dashlane extension and click on a link in an external program (e.g., Thunderbird). Actual results: The external link (e.g., in email) opens very slowly (can be minutes), if at all. If I close FF and then restart it, the link I had clicked on before loads. Expected results: External links should open in FF quickly. They do if one of these password managers is not loaded. I have tried removing or disabling all other extensions and the same problem occurs. I have reset FF and have done a complete uninstall/reinstall, and the problem persists. I'm using FF 24.0 on a 64-bit installation of Windows 7.
I did not find Dashlane on https://addons.mozilla.org/. Is it available on AMO or a third party website? I do agree that Firefox should open links quickly; however, if links are opening slowly because of a third party extension, a bug should be filed on the support pages for the extension causing the slow down as they would ultimately be responsible for figuring out why their extension isn't playing nice on Firefox.
