When a Firefox update comes out and you check for updates as a limited user on the "About Firefox" screen, it says you have to manually install the updates from the FF website. However, when it automatically checks for updates and provides a notification that an update is available, the Mozilla Maintenance Service kicks in and updates without requiring UAC, installers, or an admin account.
