We pushed a new Firefox OS feedback form to Input with a series of new strings. Users of Firefox OS using this language will see that form when they go to give feedback. We want them to be able to use the form and leave feedback which is really important for ongoing Firefox OS development. The second wave of countries to get phones is on or near October 15th. We need help translating these new strings. https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/input/ The form is currently on our stage server. You can see it at: https://input.allizom.org/en-US/feedback/firefox.fxos.stable/ If you have any questions, let me know. If you need me to deploy strings changes to the stage server so you can see progress, let me know. Thank you!
I don't see the translated strings in the .po file in svn, but it looks like they're translated in Verbatim. For example: #: fjord/feedback/templates/feedback/mobile/fxos_feedback.html:44 msgid "Country" msgstr "" #: fjord/feedback/templates/feedback/mobile/fxos_feedback.html:49 msgid "In what country did you purchase your Firefox OS device?" msgstr "" Is there something you have to do in Verbatim to make sure the strings end up in svn?
Hi Will, I've just commited Mihovil's changes to SVN. Cheers!
I pushed the new strings to stage. https://input.allizom.org/hr/feedback/firefox.fxos.stable Does that look ok?
Yup. Everything looks OK. Thanks Will!
Awesome! Thank you! Marking this as FIXED.

Good, I thought I did something wrong. :) Anyway, where from are you picking up some strings on that page? For example, if you visit https://input.allizom.org/hr/feedback/firefox.fxos.stable , click on ":)" in dropdown menu you'll notice some untranslated strings "Serbia", "Montenegro" and some wrongly translated "Venecuela" for example, but I can't find any of those strings in Verbatim.
And... drums ... there is not Croatia in list of countries...
Oh, one more comment about this form. On last form page there is a checkbox: "Check here to let us contact you to follow up on your feedback." After you check it you get e-mail input field with text "Email address (optional):". How is e-mail optional in this case? If I want you to contact me back, e-mail isn't optional. If I don't enter it how are you planing to contact me?
There are handful of new strings that haven't been uploaded to Verbatim, yet. They are all country names on the Country card. For most languages where these haven't been translated, Input will pull the translations from mozilla product details which get used by Firefox and other products. Serbia and Montenegro aren't in product details, though. I didn't realize that until now. I'll get the new strings to Verbatim tomorrow. I don't know why Venezuela is translated wrong in product details for Croatian. Incidentally, Google Translate also translates Venezuela to Venecuela. Croatia is not in the list of countries because either it's not a wave 1 or 2 country for Firefox OS or it hasn't been publicly announced as such. If you know for a fact Croatia is a wave 1 or 2 country for Firefox OS and have a link to a publicly available press release or something like that, then I'm game for adding it. Otherwise, I need to wait until Firefox OS has been released in that market to add the country to the list. In regards to email, if you don't check the checkbox, then you can leave feedback without leaving an email address. That's how it's optional. Feedback is predominantly one-way--you leave feedback about things that make you happy or sad. Most of the time no one gets back to you. It's not a support forum--Mozilla Support covers that. There are links in the feedback form that lead people looking for support to Mozilla support.
I had Venezuela string in Verbatim, which I translated, but it's pulled from somewhere else. If we are translating Firefox OS and Firefox Input, isn't that sign that it will be available? Concerning email. I'm just saying, you don't even see e-mail field before you check that checkbox (one saying that you want to get answer). Therefore I don't see point in marking it optional when it isn't if you already said that you want to be contacted by marking that checkbox.
