More than often happens to receive the Message-ID of a received email in the mailing list. Would be useful adding the ability to quicksearch through Headers and not just the body.

I opt for this feature too.
Instead of specifying a certain header tag I would like to have an option to filter on the whole header like I could do with e.g. procmail.
If a keyword may appear in different header parts it would be much easier to just specify a match on the whole header.

You can create custom headers in message filters today. These headers ( and the option to create more ) is also available in the search view.

Could you achieve the same result for quick-filter, by creating a search criteria and saving that as a virtual folder ?

imo, having the ability to add custom headers to the message-filters and to search-criteria should satisfy this request.
