(Whiteboard: https seems to be the key, as http shows video)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130910160258 Steps to reproduce: Reinstalled Flash AND Firefox yet again, to no avail. This is an issue on my Windows 7 box x86, AND Linux (Pear 7, and 8) x64. The Linux version can have audio issues also, where zero audio is working, maybe a memory leak? Actual results: Embedded flash (youtube) in Firefox on forums not showing up at all, only in Firefox 24 (23, and maybe 22). Expected results: All other browsers display embedded youtube videos.

Summary: Embedded flash (youtube) in forums not even showing up on page in Firefox browser only. → Embedded flash (youtube) in forums over https not even showing up on page, in Firefox browser only.
It's probably caused by the mixed content blocker. Is there a shield icon at the left of the address bar? If so, try clicking it and allowing the blocked content. See this blog post for more information: https://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/2013/04/10/mixed-content-blocking-enabled-in-firefox-23/
This looks like mixed content protection[1] working as expected, unless you have evidence proving otherwise this bug seems to be INVALID. 1 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-does-content-isnt-secure-affect-my-safety
