babelzilla.org is a site and community dedicated to online translation of extensions for Mozilla apps. We have started on 2005. We welcome volunteer translators for more than 150 different languages. We are hosting more than 1100 extensions. Some years ago, we have asked Mozilla Europe to pay for our hosting monthly fee, and thus our admin got his money back from Mozilla. Since there is no longer Mozilla Europe, Jürgen Berg (co-founder and Tech admin of BabelZilla) has to pay every month a 66€ fee on his own personal money (Note that BabelZilla is a completely free service, there is not even a donation button) That is why we request again, but this time not for money. We wish the whole domain to be hosted on a Mozilla server.
Attached small .txt file gives some estimated tech requirements by our tech admin.
Community IT can evaluate the purchase of a server. I'm assuming you will administrate it, right? Adding Debloper who is in charge of this kind of approvals.

Restoring the needinfo, goofy removed that by mistake.

Request looks solid. VPS should suffice. Good to go. Tad: are we keeping a directory of community sites? I'm a bit lost on the recent progress on that part.

Anything new on that request, is there any step/requirement we are missing yet?
Flags: remo-approval?
Next step please?
Agree with Deb. This looks good to go.

So remo can approve funding for this, but who will do the purchase, and server setup in a mozilla colo?
Remo approve that this meets community criteria to be hosted on Mozilla's infra. IT will take it from here.
For community requests, we are providing VPS services from OVH. Jean-Bernard, can you please go here http://www.ovh.co.uk/vps/ and let me know what VPS configuration do you need (RAM/CPU/disk)? Then, please make an OVH NIC handle ( https://www.ovh.co.uk/cgi-bin/nic/newNic.cgi ) and send it to me. Thanks!

I've noticed that the OVH control panel shows a required renewal on 02/08/2015 for the VPS. Are there any problems with the renewal?
The same problem as in August. The control panel shows a required renewal on 14/12/2015 for the VPS.
(In reply to Jürgen Berg from comment #16) > The same problem as in August. The control panel shows a required renewal on > 14/12/2015 for the VPS. Up with this request. We still don't know exactly if must ring the bell before redline and request again or if there is some kind of automatic renewal. Please clarify, Many thanks to whoever is managing this.

I'm not managing this, but I have a server in the same situations (and there are several others). Server renewals are managed by Community IT, and they're always done very close to the end of the period. In this specific case Orlando and all the traveling was in the way, but renewal is being managed.
renewal wasn't managed for mozfr.org, so we had to pay by ourselves for the month to come…
majken, can you help steamline the renewal on this?
Chris, We have extended payment terms with OVH that will last until Friday. Nothing will go down until then. Renewal is on it's way :) You can safely ignore the emails
