Steps to reproduce:

* Open Scratchpad
* Delete all text
* File -> Save/Save as...


Actual results:

You can't save a blank file. There is an error/warning: "The file save operation failed."


Expected results:

One should be able to save the file even if it doesn't contain any text.

I can confirm this happens on Windows 8. Can anyone confirm whether this also happens on Linux/OS X?

I can confirm this. I usually start by saving an empty file to my desktop so this is irritating.
This doesn't seems to an issue any more. I'm able to save an empty file on OS X using Nightly.
