Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/30.0.1599.69 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Just run a Netflix Video.

Actual results:

Just run a Netflix Video and it'll be slow.

Expected results:

On running the same video on Safari you will experience smooth streaming.
I think this could not be universally applicable as netflix still not available in India.

And for your query, I would like to suggest two common solutions:

1. Check with safe mode firefox: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

2. Create a new profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

IMO, this is mainly extension compatibility issue.

So, I am moving this to :

Component: Untriaged -> Extension Compatibility [bugday-20131021]
closed, because there was no feedback by reporter after suggestons for better testing.
as part 2 there was some improvements on video in the last versions of Firefox.

please feel free to reopen this if you have new information.
