I think we could make it slightly quicker for people to find the code snippets they want, in the language they need to look at, by adding color backgrounds for each of the main programming languages we have syntax highlighting for: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. If in addition to the current labels we also colored the background differently, that would serve as a great, subtle cue to the reader as they look for code. Could even help on a nearly subliminal level, as they use the site more and more. Obviously the colors would be subtle; a light blue, green, or yellow, for example.
