Steps to reproduce:

(Note:  this bug found on Ubuntu 12.04 64 bits)

* (if you just have one profile) ensure firefox is closed, then run firefox -p and create a new profile.
* Start firefox, with whatever profile
* Click on a Download link, any file from any site will do
* Open download manager (ctrl+shift+Y)


Actual results:

download is reported as failed


Expected results:

download progress should be displayed (as files are downloaded just fine)

I've tried using ff in secure mode, and the same problem exists.
Using ff from another user account in my system, with just the default profile works fine, and it did too with my user before i created a second profile

I also seem to be having this issue whenever I restart Firefox.
