Steps to reproduce:

I searched for a word with the search text box on the main thunderbird page, while reproducing another bug in order to create a bug report.


Actual results:

A results tab was created, with or without results.  I attempted to determine the version of thunderbird by clicking on the icon for 'display the thunderbird menu', but that icon (three horizontal lines) wasn't there.


Expected results:

I think the icon should have been there, but perhaps its absence was a design choice?

Other windows, like address book and compose, do not have the menu. Further, Facet Search results page is unlike most other Thunderbird windows, so the lack of menu is by design. Even the mail toolbar does not exist on facet search display, where the hamburger menu icon resides

However, it has been observed more than once that facet search results is inconsistent with the look and feel with the rest of Thunderbird, to the point of being disorienting.  Perhaps there is room for improvement.
