The PDF in the URL (requires a Mozilla intranet account) contains what appears to be a number of draw instructions. pdf.js spends a great deal of time (about a minute total) drawing each element slowly. Evince opens and renders the PDF immediately.

Attempt to fix URL -- appears to not support direct linking, instead loading a JPG. The PDF in question is the "Outdoor Improvement Plan" from https://mana.mozilla.org/wiki/display/INTRANET/MV2014%3A+331+E+Evelyn+Ave+-+New+Office+Space

On my Linux box, a dev version of pdf.js takes about 4--5 seconds to render the document. sstangl, is it still much slower for you?

I haven't been able to get the PDF to render with pdf.js; instead, it presents a download dialogue box.
