Steps to reproduce:

in normal or safe mode:
- set "Show my windows and tabs from last time" in settings
- only one firefox window is open
- close all tabs (only one empty tab left)
- close firefox window (by "x" button in window header)
- wait a bit
- start firefox again


Actual results:

firefox starts with one "Well, this is embarrassing." tab


Expected results:

firefox starts with my tabs and windows from last time (one empty tab)
This sounds like bug 918276. It should be fixed in Firefox 25, which is due to be released at the end of the month.
