User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130910160258 Steps to reproduce: 1. Download Firefox for Android (ARM) version 24.0 from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/ 2. Pack apk into bar and "sign" using debug token 3. Deploty to Blackberry and run Actual results: Firefox application crashes/doen't load or start. It's the same for version 24.0 and 25.0b8. Expected results: Firefox should start. Older versions work (version 23.0 tested).
OS: Windows NT → Android
Hardware: x86_64 → ARM
Nightly is the same, doesn't work neither. I almost left out that the platform is Blackberry 10 (10.2 to be precise). My device is Q10 but the problem seems common for all devices: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-android-app-sideloading-f279/sideloading-firefox-v24-problem-859270/ http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-z10-f254/firefox-z10-859109/ Blackberry isn't Android device but their Android runtime layer is highly compatible. Simulator for desktop is available (runs x86 code).
Mike, do you have a try build still with on-demand decompression disabled? Maybe that's the issue here? But I thought it was disabled in 25.0b8 though
This looks like a crash loading mozglue, but with no useful log output. I suspect this is a WONTFIX -- we don't make any particular effort to support Blackberry, and I don't think it's worth the investment. mfinkle?

Agreed. We don't have the resources to focus on Blackberry at this time. The good news is that we are actively working on "mozglue loading crashes" but I have no idea if any of those will help running on Blackberry.
