One of the findings of the forum report was that the solved rate was higher for those who knew they were posting into a forum compared to those who didn't know.

We should make it clear to users in the AAQ that they are posting into a public forum and that we are expecting them to reply to requests for more information or for feedback on the information given to them.
I would say that many people don't realize that this is a forum because many think they're are submitting feedback or that they are actually emailing.

I know this is a zombie thread, but +1 for this. Potentially a line explaining the difference between support.mozilla & bugzilla with a link to the bugzilla search page, ideally pre-populated with firefox.
