User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130910160258 Steps to reproduce: Open firefox behind a proxy server requiring authentication Actual results: Firefox asks for proxy authentication. We can then browse a bit. A couple of minutes later it asks again for the same credentials, repeat ad nauseum. Even when not browsing it will eventually pop up the credential window. It keeps asking for the proxy authentication multiple times(almost 40 times an hour, yes I counted them so much I was exasperated) We tried those settings and they didn't help: signon.autologin.proxy;true network.proxy.share_proxy_settings – FALSE network.automatic-ntlm-auth.allow-proxies – FALSE network.auth.use-sspi – FALSE We disabled all extensions to no avail IE and chrome running in parallel have no problem at all and never ask for credentials Expected results: Ask for credentials only once
Is this still an issue when running in safe mode?
Trying that and will come back with the results in a couple of hours. Is there a difference btw safe mode and manually disabling all the add-ons like we did first?
Ok, found the real culprit. It worked fine in safe mode so instead of simply disabling the add-ons, we uninstalled them until the problem stopped. It was Lastpass. Strange though as we didnt update it lately. We will open a ticket there. Thanks.
