Steps to reproduce:
I upgraded Windows 7 on a German laptop in order to switch to English, then installed Firefox 24.0. I ensured that "search for text when I start typing" was unchecked. (Also note I am using English international keyboard.)
Actual results:
Searching occurs as soon as I start typing.
Expected results:
Searching should not begin until I press Enter.
