Description: The Modifica Segnalibro (Edit Bookmark) page in the browser is truncated if the device is set to the Italian language. Repro Steps: 1) Update Buri to Build ID: 20131025004000 2) Set the device language to Italian then restart the device. 3) Launch the Browser app. 4) Load a bookmarked site. If no site is bookmarked, tap the star icon on a site and select Segnalibro. 5) Tap the filled-in star icon and select Modifica Segnalibro. 6) Observe the title bar's text. Actual: The title bar text is truncated. Expected: The entire text of the title bar is shown. This is due to the bad habit of reusing the same string first as a button, with half the screen empty, and then as a header with gigantic font. The only option I have is to drop the object and just leave Edit, which is far from optimal, in particular considering the button. "Segnalibro" (bookmark) is not a work I can abbreviate. Let's see if UX can come up with a solution. All ideas on my side are going to be just poor compromises.

Is a new string (and not re-using a string) an option for us to recommend here, or would that break other things? Let me know and, either way, we can make a recommendation.
Pike, what's the current status with strings on 1.2? Worst scenario we could use the same strategy of bug 859035 for 1.2

There's still stuff coming in, though an approach with a overloaded entity might be useful at this point.

Flagging Eric to see if there's anything we can do in lieu of a late-game string change.

marking this as dependent on bug 908300, which proposes smaller text for headers that have truncation.

Hi Francesco, looking at this again it looks like only two letters are being truncated "ro". I believe these can fix in the space of the ellipses if the right padding is increased. Also with the new visual style no divider line is used on the right side before the button - so this will open some room as well. Thanks!

Yes, only "ro" is missing. Note that on 1.3 and later it's already "fixed", thanks to bug 944784 (I'm using only "Edit" for the header, "Edit bookmark" for the button).

ok, thanks for letting me know Francesco.
I think this one can be closed, since it's not going to be fixed in 1.2
