RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 435159

People

(Reporter: Ralf-mozilla.org, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130910160258

Steps to reproduce:

I had two S/MIME certs which were about to expire, so I obtained new certs from the same CA. When I had obtained the new certs I opened the Certificate Manager and deleted the old certs WITHOUT leaving Cert Mgr. Then I imported the new certs.

Actual results:

After I had deleted the two old certs, they were gone in the Cert Mgr. Afterwards I imported the new certificates, and suddenly besides the new certs ALSO the old certs were back in Cert Mgr.

BTW, the same can be observed in recent versions of Firefox!

Expected results:

Importing the new certs should NOT have restored the old certs.
Eventually somehow related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129067
Thanks for filing the report.

I suspect this is another manifestation of Bug 435159, so I'm marking this bug as a duplicate.
