Steps to reproduce:

Upgraded to Thunderbird v24.0.1

Actual results:

Clicked on 'Tools|Account Settings...' to bring up Account Settings window.
Cannot edit any Account Setting. After clicking on any action in left hand pane (e.g. Server Settings) I get the following message:
‘The Local Directory path "C:\Users\Bas\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\qfus9mtt.default\Mail\Local Folders" is not suitable for message storage. Please choose another directory.’

Expected results:

Should be able to edit Account settings as in Thunderbird V 17.
i.e. If I revert back to v 17 the problem goes away
Summary: Upgrading Thunderbird to v24.0.1 introduces a problem by which I am unable to edit any of my Account Settings. → Cannot edit account settings anymorein 24.0.1, works in 17: "Local Directory path is not suitable for message storage"
