RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 78414

People

(Reporter: abcdzywx, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130910160258

Steps to reproduce:

1) Watch a YouTube movie (http://www.youtube.com).
2) Click on the video itself to start/stop, drag the thumb, etc.
3) Attempt, without success, to type CTRL-0 to reset page zoom, CTRL-L to focus on the location bar, etc.

Actual results:

Keyboard combination commands for the window do not work when Flash videos such as on YouTube have focus.

Expected results:

Keyboard shortcuts should work even when focused on a Flash application, unless there is some reason for needing the Flash application to be able to override them. (If there is a need to let the Flash application override the keyboard shortcut, then there should probably be a security setting to get the user's consent.)
This is a long standing issue with Plugins
