>>Project/Request Title:
State Of Mozilla Facebook graphic
>>Project Overview:
Need a Facebook graphic to allow us to promote the State Of Mozilla on Facebook.
Would like it to be a quote from Mitchell. I liked this one from the Summit
"We build our products to represent our values." - Mitchell Baker, Chair of Mozilla (Mike, can we confirm that's the right, shortest way to refer to Mithcell)
Short, to the point, easy to write a status update around to incentivize clicks over to the SOM.

Mitchell's title is now Executive Chair. I do think that's a good quote for us to highlight.

Hi Carmen, I've posted a couple of options for the State of Mozilla quote. One which makes use of the recent Summit graphics, and another that has a more generic Mozilla branded look.
I like the second version with the red. Only one thing, though. The white background on the image will flow into the white background of Facebook. Is that okay? Or would we want to make that white a light grey or some other color?
Also, on the images, I'd like to make the color a little less vivid with more of the images shining through. How's that sound to you?
Carmen, here is an example of what it would look like http://cl.ly/image/1e3N1l0F2b1R I think it works, there is enough white space that allows for breathing room. I an reduce the red a bit allow the images to stand out more.
Carmen, here is an updated version of the State of Mozilla graphic...I've reduced the red saturation to allow the images to be more defined.

Hey Matt. You should check with Sean on this. He has a cool picture of Mitchell he's using for the SoM website. If you have time, it would be nice to get this aligned with that.

Thanks John. I will check in with Sean, although I believe he is in transit to SF, so may not have something to show until later today/tomorrow.

Hi guys, here is an updated State of Mozilla quote. Creative leveraged from Sean's design...but slightly tweaked to fit the narrow space.

Hey team,
I have a concern. I think an image of Mitchell works well on the State of Mozilla site. But this is a graphic for 17 million Facebook fans who probably have no idea whatsoever who Mitchell is. I don't think an image of her image is going to engender any kind of sharing or clicking.
I want to align, of course, but this may be one of those "Facebook is weird" instances where we go different.
John, how would you feel about going back the other direction?

TIMING UPDATE: NEW TARGET DATE FOR STATE OF MOZILLA
The comms team reviewed State of Mozilla as part of our workweek, and because there are a few other announcements we want to put out early next week, and we could use the extra approval time, **we're pushing back the publish date for State of Mozilla back two days to Thursday, Nov. 21st.""
Obviously this would impact when you publish the Facebook graphic and other social media posts, so I'm hoping that isn't too much of an inconvenience. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Mike,
This does put a little snag into Facebook due to other post scheduling/timing/engagement. Twitter we're good with, we can go when you announce.
For Facebook, could we post on Nov. 23? If we can match your announcement on Twitter, would 2 days matter on Facebook, seeing as our audience there is more broad user base?

Hey Jennifer,
Actually, this one isn't done yet
Matt - can you repost your version with the red quote and the red shaded images? John agreed to go back to that concept, since Mitchell's image won't be recognizable (and thus engaging) on FAcebook.
