Steps to reproduce:

1. Have many bookmarks in list, distributed in many folders.
2. Bookmark a new site. You get the menu with options (keywords, which folder to keep bookmark in). Open the folders to chose some lower folder.
3. Use the keyboard to go down (up/down arrow) in that list to get to some specific folder in the lower part of the list. It works slowly. I usually type to jump to the folder having that typed letter, it is a lot faster.

If it helps, it is a very old bug, I could see this since many versions back, but I always hoped to see it fixed.


Actual results:

Getting down in the list of folders is very slow. If I keep the Up/Down arrow for a longer time, it jumps in my list, it does not go smoothly as it should. I cannot see my position in list.


Expected results:

Scroll smoothly. See attached screenshot.

I use Ubuntu Linux, but it is there in Windows too, I could see it before 2.5+ years ago, before switching to Ubuntu.

I just want to say that if one needs more information, I can provide you with that. Even some remote connection via Teamviewer, I am eager to see this fixed.

Can you still reproduce this bug in latest Firefox?

It is a lot faster on the newer firefox, but it was not like this. Not it only hangs at some times, but this can be from other causes (intensive cpu workflow, etc.).

what's the needinfo for? this should be investigated, I don't have a solution off-hand.

Fwiw, it's very fast for me and I don't see any stutter... capturing the stutter with the Firefox build in profiler and attaching that here may help figuring where's the bottleneck.
