thunderbird needs to respect the Content-Disposition header

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130910160258
Steps to reproduce:
Thunderbird always sets the Content-Disposition: attachment when sending mail with text attachments. Probably as a result of this, it also ignores the header when reading mail and always shows text inline. It should respect the header when reading mail ( do NOT show attachments as inline ) and give an option to attach text files as inline when composing.
Thunderbird has a menu option on the view menu to either display attachments inline of not. SO the choice is up to the user of they want text/image attachments displayed inline.
I see not point in attaching text you want included inline. But if you want to re state this bug report to an enhancement request you could do that. At this point I think it should be closed as invalid.
