User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131025151332
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to any non-secure website
2. Next, go to a secured website (with EV)
3. Then, go to a secured website (without EV)
Actual results:
1. For the non-secure website, the security icon in the address bar is a GREY globe. Clicking on it shows a security guy in GREY and additional info. Fine.
2. For the secured website (with EV), the security icon in the address bar is a GREEN padlock. Clicking on it shows a security guy in GREEN and additional info. Fine.
3. For the secured website (without EV), the security icon in the address bar is a BLACK padlock. Clicking on it shows a security guy in BLUE???? Not good.
Expected results:
Dear FF Designers, Developers, what were you thinking?
If you guys are really fond of the BLUE security guy, can you please change the color of the padlock to blue also [for secured websites (without EV)].
I think it would help standardize, and save us a lot of grief everytime we visit a site and try to comprehend the security level.
It's a simple change...so please, could you help?
Summary: For heavens sake, please change the color of the "secured" padlock from grey to blue → For heavens sake, please change the color of the "secured" padlock from black to blue
