Steps to reproduce:

After upgrading to 24.1.0 on the weekend all my IMAP accounts have stopped working. Error messages are not usually shown, so I did not notice until last night.


Actual results:

All 4 IMAP accounts I have set up in Thunderbird stopped updating sometime on Sunday, which is when I got the notification to update to Thunderbird 24.1.0 as I recall. I thought this was due to Bug 926467, as when I checked I did have a custom filter set up, but not used (Sender:), and on deleting that all my email accounts did download email. However, on restarting the program they reverted to being inoperable. Error message "Connection to server <Server Name> has timed out" seen when attempting to get email or save a message to a folder.

Outgoing SMTP works as normal; password has been reentered. Log file with emails redacted attached. (Three of the emails are either Gmail accounts or through a privately administered gmail account: [e-mail] however is not a gmail account.).

Sorry, I forgot I'd filed this: Yes, I found a piece of external software had updated the same day, and was blocking Thunderbird from working. Once I changed a setting it was fine, and this shouldn't be a bug. It can be deleted. So sorry to waste your time.
