Steps to reproduce:
* Visit your profile
* Make sure you have some interests selected
* Click the edit button
* Make a change to raise a form error (eg. email with wrong format)
* Save profile
* Form error shows up but interests modal is empty

Should Ctrl-Shift-R, and refilling work?

Just refilling the interest modal after failed submission, should be enough.
