https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Simple_Firefox_build/Linux_and_MacOS_build_preparation This document suggests that if "wget script.py | python script.py" doesn't work, that turning off certificate checking is the right thing. We should instead say only that the user should upgrade their certificate store, rather than suggesting --no-check-certificate, which certainly seems to be a bad practice these days.
