When going through the first-run experience on Firefox OS, one of the last stages is a page called "About Firefox OS" that prompts you to put in your email address to receive more information about the Mozilla community, our other products and events near you. When you submit your email address here - where does it go? Is there a bug for the implementation of this feature?
Basically the email address is sent to Mozilla Basket when the device is online. If offline, it waits till it gets any connection and is sent from dialer app (the comms app most likely to be opened). After we send it, we delete it, and lose control about what is done with it. This has been dealt with on bug 817535, bug 828277 and bug 824930. As this doesn't look like a bug, but more like a question, I'm gonna close it as wontfix. For further questions, maybe it's better to use other channels instead of opening a bug? (irc, mailing list)
