Details

To release Firefox in Xhosa, we need a way to promote it. We do that via https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/ web pages. There's a set of pages that are essential to having a successful Firefox localization and promotion, and those depend on the files listed below. 

flod or Pascal will follow up here when the initial setup work is done. After that, you'll find the files to localize in SVN.

The repositories you want to work with are located at https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/xh/ and https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/l10n-misc/trunk/firefoxhealthreport/locale/xh/ . Files that need to be translated are, namely:

All the translations you do will be available on the testing website, http://www-dev.allizom.org/xh/ , around 15-30 minutes after commit.

The Xhosa team will be driving this bug to completion.

Is this FF27 content? If so we have yet to commit it. If not, we have only translated goals 1 & 2. Is this part of goals 3 or 4?
I'm honestly not familiar with goals (I guess they're organized like this on Pootle).

The status of your locale is quite good, excluding fhr

You can see from the rightmost column if a file is important or not. 

For example mission.lang (https://www-dev.allizom.org/xh/mission/) is not critical, just a good-to-have since it's linked in the main navigation menu.

home.lang (Home Page) was introduced at the end of September, and it's pretty important: basically, users with a browser set to Xhosa will see the main page of mozilla.org in their own language.

One last note: you have completely localized contribute.lang (https://www-dev.allizom.org/xh/contribute/).
To enable this page we'll need a bit more work (another file called 15years.lang), but we'll deal with that at a later stage.

Some of the content is in translation, some of it has been marked as priority 3. We will get this translated once we get the priority 1&2 in later this week.

Ian all of this content, apart from FHR, should be under Web parts.  We try mirror the Critical, Good to have categories that you see on the dashboard that flod: pointed out.

I can confirm we have access to the health report.
I believe we have translated the critical web parts and the complete health report. In addition we have done critical parts of FF27 and fully translated FF27 mobile.

Hi Ian, I'm going to check if everything looks right. The next step will be to enable your locale on production (mozilla.org).

Did you see the requests for feedback on the other bugs (bug 936551, bug 936552, bug 936553)?

Basically you should tell us if everything looks good to you: open the bug, click on the "feedback" link besides the attachment, in the next page select "+" in the feedback field if everything is OK and submit. Or just tell us so in the bugs and I'll clear the flag for you.
:flod I've just double checked and pushed any Web parts and FHR work for Xhosa, so everything should be in Subversion for FHR and Git for the Web parts PO files.
