Created attachment 829923 [details] lightning-dates-optimized-1.png User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:23.0) Gecko/20131011 Firefox/23.0 (Nightly/Aurora) Build ID: 20131025151332 Steps to reproduce: To select a date and time for a new (or altered) entry, there are dropdowns to open the date- and time-pickers. To define start and end dates, one has to click 4 times to open all dropdowns and doubleclick or click outside to close them again - what sometimes does not work well. These are lots of unnecessary, annoying clicks. Despite that the selected time+date has to be read and processed as numbers, with no additional visual guidance. We can supply a far better usability. Expected results: I propose to show the date and time pickers by default. This reduces the number of clicks needed significantly and gives a better overview of the selected values. My attachment shows a first draft. To fit to smaller screens, the layout should be horizontal instead of vertical. In addition the end-date should grey-out earlier dates than the one selected in the start-picker and vice versa to prevent unfeasible selections.
