Currently the voting system's pagination only applies to past votes. We should build pagination for the present and future votes too. Suggestion: * Use URL parameters to specify the page state of each list. For example: /voting/?past_page=2¤t_page=1&future_page=4 * As an enhancement of the above, use AJAX to request new pages of data, update the relevant page element, and update the URL Alternative: * Create an archive for each type and paginate the archive. For example: /voting/past/&page=2 /voting/future/&page=1 * Add a "More" link below each list on /voting
After further discussion of this, we decided.... * That we will postpone paginating current/future votes until the number of them is a problem * That we will paginate past votes * That we will only show current/future votes on the first page, not on subsequent paginated pages Suggested implementation: Show 10 past votes and have a link to "More", similar to other places on the site. "More" links to the first page of a paginated view with 50(?) results shown.
It seems that our current pagination is good enough for the voting rate we have at the moment. I am closing this bug and this PR and we will reopen it in case we want to implement the voting archive feature or any extra functionality in the voting pagination. https://github.com/mozilla/remo/pull/631
