When I enter my password, which I know to be correct and all lower case, it is rejected. I try to change the master password and it rejects it there as well. I tried to remove all the security data and reset it but to no avail. Previously, my pop password was remembered, but when I went to mail for the first time, I was asked for a security password. This now doesn't appear as it kept rejecting my password. I would like to dump all the passwords and start again, but it still retains the old one, which must be corrupted. This all started when I moved from 0.9.2 to 0.9.3.

You've probably got a corrupted profile. Try creating a new one -- that should clear up all your problems.
Closing as works-for-me. Reopen if you are able to reproduce this with a fresh profile, and give detailed steps for doing so.
