Steps to reproduce:

Duplicate a pinned tab


Actual results:

In the "group your tabs" view, either the pinned tab appears as a new tab (that cannot be closed or clicked on)  or a small new tab group appears in the top left with the pinned tab inside. This new mini tab group cannot be closed clickable.


Expected results:

I don't think pinned tabs should appear in the tab groups. And the little mini window is also strange (see screenshot).

How do you duplicate a tab?  There is no such menu item here, maybe you have it added by an extension.  Please try safe mode to see if it's so. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Found the ways to duplicate: Ctrl+drag and middle-clicking the Reload button.  Does it matter which of them you use?

Cannot reproduce the bug with firefox-25.0.ru.linux64.

Still, have you tried reproducing in Safe mode or with a new profile?
Also, is it a build from Ubuntu, or from Mozilla?  Please try with a build from Mozilla. https://www.mozilla.org/

Panorama has been removed from Firefox 45, currently in Beta and scheduled for release on March 7th. As such, I'm closing all existing Panorama bugs.

If you are still using Panorama, you will see a deprecation message in Firefox 44, and when 45 is released your tab group data will be migrated to bookmarks, with a folder for each group. There are also a few addons offering similar functionality.

We're removing Panorama because it has extremely low usage (about 0.01% of users), and has a large number of bugs and usability issues. The cost of fixing all those issues is far too high to justify, and so we'll instead be focusing our time and energy on improving other parts of Firefox.
