In Firefox, you can go to about:credits and see a list of names of people who made the browser. I'd like to see us honour our hard working contributors (99 at present count) and localizers (hundreds) in some way. It would be cool if one of our About pages on Webmaker.org did this somehow, and used the Dashboard data Rick, Ali, and others are building. For people who have put time into volunteering to create this with us, it would be nice if they "showed up" somehow in the product. Maybe in https://webmaker.org/en-US/about or https://webmaker.org/en-US/getinvolved.
I really like this idea and I think it is very important for us to put our time to make this complete on our site. I'm currently working on the Transifex API and it will soon be able to list all of the translators except one thing is missing right now is their Gravatar. If we can get the gravatar tied with their username then it would be really awesome to have them display on our site.
We should do this but let's not keep it around for now. We'll re-open in 2014.
