User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131025151332
Steps to reproduce:
Clicking the download indicator no longer opens the list. Reload FF 25.0, re-logon, reboot, ... no effect.
Actual results:
Nothing.
The progress indicator is present on the tool bar, with a time estimate, but nothing else happens. Ctrl-J does work, and downloads are otherwise functional.
Expected results:
Download list should open.
(BTW: "26m" means 26 metres, not minutes! And there should always be a space between value and symbol, e.g. : "26 min". I think it would be good to have Mozilla recognize other kinds of standards! ;-)

Works for me. Please try to reproduce in safe mode with all add-ons disabled: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Thanks for the suggestion - my apologies for forgetting that.
Safe mode works.
Systematically working through all extensions,it seems that Ghostery 5.0.6 was the culprit. That update seems to have been the problem, the prior version installed was fine. But, after exercising it on and off several times (with and without restarts), it is now enabled and the problem has gone away! (And I restarted once again just to makes sure - now normal expected behaviour.)
Any idea how this could be?
This is the same story as for Bug 939193.

Glad it works. Add-ons have a lot of power and can interact with Firefox in unexpected ways, so it's hard to say what the problem was. In any case, I'll resolve this bug.

I am experiencing this bug not only for downloads-menu but also for bookmarks and the plugin menu on the left side of the address bar. Basicly no dropdown menus except the one of "addon compartibility reporter" and the main menu are working. I don't have ghostery installed. Creating a new profile with no extensions enabled does not fix this problem. Using the latest nightly on arch linux.
