If you make changes to filters in the filters dialog, but then cancel the dialog, changes you made to your filters are saved! This could cause serious dataloss.
I take it you're OKing/confirming when editing in the Rules dialog, but then cancelling the main filters dialog?
There's also an older bug about cancelling the main Filters dialog after making changes directly in the main dialog, i.e. reordering filters, deleting filters. Will look it up...
