Steps to reproduce:

Select category item from drop down list, then have to additionally click back into the category box for it to appear there. 


Actual results:

Expected results:

previously, selecting the category item from the drop down list was sufficient for it to appear in the category box

Not sure if this could be classified as a bug since the new drop down list allows to select more than one category (see Bug 316927) compared to the previous case. 

I wouldn't know how to avoid additional clicks with the new drop down list.
The only thing I could think is to validate the input (and close the panel) when moving the mouse pointer outside the panel when at least one category has been selected, but this might also be an annoying behavior sometimes.

OK. I see this change is as a result of facilitating the selection of more than one category although I can't immediately see why I would want to assign more than one category to an item.
