Multiple issues with Social API sidebar
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.2; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 Found this issue on Firefox 26 beta 6 (build ID: 20131118212339) Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Log into your Facebook account. 3. Go to https://www.facebook.com/about/messenger-for-firefox and click on the "Turn On" button. Results: Several issues were spotted after activating the Social API sidebar: - The contact list is blank (therefore, also can't chat) - Notification list isn't scrollable - Notification list updates only after facebook log out / log in - When clicking or hovering on an item from the Notification list, the panel doesn't open in the left side - F button: shows "Not logged in" even if user is logged in - Notifications, Inbox and Friend Requests buttons are missing - When sharing a photo (both on a friend or my timeline) , the sharing panel is empty, without the thumbnail of the photo or the link to it Notes: This issue is not a regression, it also reproduces on: - latest Nightly (build ID: 20131119030202) - latest Aurora (build ID: 20131119004000) - Firefox 25.0.1 (build ID: 20131112160018) - Firefox 17.0.1 (build ID: 20121128204232)
On latest Nightly, Aurora and Fx 26 beta 6 (Win XP), on the sidebar the timeline for some profiles can be opened if they are clicked.
This is could be a problem with the service provider, but I am flipping tracking flag for attention.
This is a problem with the service provider, we've been in contact with them about this.
Social sidebars were removed in bug 1289549.
