Currently, the history menu pushes off the normal menu to the side and then clips part of it. This looks rather strange to me, to the extent that I was wondering if it was a bug.

Some searching showed that only the Help menu seems to use a similar styling.

Aside from the questionable look, the way this works right now does not provide any way to go back a single menu level. The only way that I found to go back is to exit the menu entirely. (After some experimentation, it turns out clicking on the clipped menu goes back and doesn't invoke the function being clicked on as one would normally expect)

Lastly, although the main menu is pushed to the side, it's actually expanded vertically to be the same size as the history menu (with the customize button being thrown to the botton for example). There's no good reason to do this and it looks ugly.

There are bugs on file that cover improving the subview styling. This behavior is intentional.
