From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.76 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.2-3mdk i686)
BuildID: 2001080104

Opening certain urls makes the xfs crash. Happens every time, the same urls
works on opera, netscape 4.7.
I run mandrake 8.0

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. type in ""
2. mozilla crashes
3. kill mozilla
4. Now the xfs server is dead.

Actual Results: X is not working anymore (no fonts)

Expected Results: not crash, and not drag down the xfs with it...

Sounds like a bug in xfs. Maybe you should mail your operating system vendor!

Reporter do you have a stacktrace or talkback id from the crash?
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash, stackneeded

Comment 3

17 years ago loads fine on a 8/17 debug build, compiled on SuSE 6.2,
running on SuSE 6.4. Takes a long time, but it loads.

Worksforme Linux 2001082908

Maybe this has something to do with one not having international fonts? (or the
fontserver not supporting them?)

What version of xfs are you using? I used a couple of versions including
the XFree4-included version and ended up concluding they were too flaky
for use. I'm sure this is a bug in xfs, and I really would like to mark
this invalid.

Reporter, if you want to go more in-depth, either strace xfs and see
what happens when it dies, or better yet, run it through gdb and wait
for moz to kill it. The report back to us. :)
Resolving INVALID.

Reason: not enough information to duplicate the problem. Reporter has not
responded to numerous requests for more information. - If more information can be provided, please come back to
bugzilla and re-open this bug with the info we have asked for.
