Adjust the sms/index.html (see attached and bug 916185) and enable APZ in the developer prefs.

No clear str.Without any messages, I went into New message, followed ... into Message, pressed Settings then backed out.  Used the home button in there.

Eventually got to the point where the "No messages Start communicating now" screen had the text bubble and background, but the text wasn't showing - it looked like the draw order was messed up and the text was actually below that text bubble. (see attached)

Once I got into this bad state, had to close the message app from the card view, to get it fixed.

Come to think of it, this looks more like one of the elements is in the wrong place, rather than the wrong order.

I explained in bug 916185 comment 11 why I disagree with this.

I mean, we could merge something in the Messages app, I don't mind, but I'd rather not have to do it.

Also, please only specify "initial-scale=1.0;user-scalable=no" if we want to have one.

Right - that discussion can stay in that bug.  The patch here is to enable the testing of the follow up problem, while we're figuring out how we want to solve first one.  This is why I'm not asking for a review.  You would run into this problem even without the patch above, it's just much easier to see because fewer things are wrong.
