Since 0.9.3 installation (2001080312) I get a lot of the following messages on the status bar while the page is loading: An unknown error has occured (804b0006) The last digit can be 7 and somethimes others.
*** Bug 94132 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Standart questions: Have you installed 0.9.3 in a fresh directory ? (not installed it over 0.9.2) And have you tried a new profile (run "mozilla -profilemanager") ? Are you using some kind of firewall/proxy ?
I installed it over existing 0.9.2. Is it still not working? I really don't want to loose all my bookmarks, passwords, etc.
Forgot to add: both 0.9.2 and 0.9.3 were installed from RPMS downloaded from ftp.mozilla.org.
1. make a backup of your profile 2. uninstall mozilla (you will not loose your profile, AFAIK) 3. install it in a fresh directory (btw: never install a newer build over an older one) 4. look if this works now (should be) if not : 5 run "mozilla -profilemanager" and create a secound test profile and try the it with the new profile.. Are you using a proxy ???
After removing all mozilla traces and reinstalling from RPM I do not see the error anymore. Weird that RPM package did not do the same thing - I guess it should (like, remove all old version and cleanly install a new one). Anyway, thanks for the help and sorry for the false alert.
thanks for your answer... marking worksforme
