We are building a landing page for the Firefox Student Ambassador program and need to secure the following domains for the site: 

Actual URL for site: ambassadors.mozilla.org

sub-domans that should re-direct to the site:
-students.mozilla.org
-fsa.mozilla.org

since these are sub domains under the mozilla.org domain, there shouldn't be any issues securing them. do you already know where the redirects will going to?

All: ambassadors.mozilla.org will also be a redirect to a page on mozilla.org. The final address for the student ambassadors will be www.mozilla.org/[TBD]. I will make sure we get a bug created for this now.

Katherine: Is there a reason why we want three separate sub-domains to point to the mozilla.org page? (fsa.mozilla.org, students.mozilla.org, and ambassadors.mozilla.org) Shouldn't a single vanity URL like ambassadors.mozilla.org be suffice?

Chris, I think the thought process was that some may initially assume/think the URL is one of the other two and then not be redirected to the correct page. How much additional effort does it take to get two more vanity URLs? Based on this information I think we can decide on whether to get all of them or just the one. Thanks!

It is not much effort to set up (students|fsa|ambassadors).mozilla.org vanity URLs and redirect them to this new page on www.mozilla.org. It can be done as a single bug for IT once this page has landed on mozilla.org.

:cturra: hold on these 3 vanity 301 redirect domains until we have the URL on mozilla.org to redirect them to. This will just be a standalone static page on mozilla.org (Bedrock).
