From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98) BuildID: 2001080110 (0.93) The checkbox "apply default to all messages (ignore charset specified y MIME header)" does not always show the right default values when you open that menu the first time. I think it's partially shown, but not clearly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Messenger: View -> folder characeter coding ( i cannot find messenger in the component listbox of the form) Actual Results: ssee, the upper right angle of that checkbox has a dot from the tick sign. Expected Results: a complete tick on the checkbox (if you have ticked it before)

I did remove 0.92 before installing 0.93 (though I didn't delete all mail and news directories). The problem was there in 0.92 as well. can tell me the exact file you wanted me to delete? Everytime the checkbox came up the first time, the display was wrong. I used Chinese HKSCS as the default folder encoding in various news servers.

lately I reinstalled my Windows and installed the 0.9.4. All my old mozilla settings were deleted. The problem no longer showned up. Is this a fix? I don't know about users who didn't reset their mozilla 0.9.2 ini files. BTW, I noticed a similar problem in the subscribe newsgroup. The flag column for "subscribe" was tri-satte (nothing, an empty checkbox and a checked checkbox). Please note. Also, in certain windeows, the scroll may suddenly disppear (notably the mail folder list). I guess other users should have filed bug reports.
Yes the profiles are unstable still so its recommended you remove it each time you update to a new version. Marking WORKSFORME. File those others problems as seperate bugs.
