User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131112160018
Steps to reproduce:
Every time I open Browser I get a message below the search box that I am out of date. When I check 'About Firefox' I get the message "Firefox 2.0.1 - Firefox is up to date".
Not critical - but a hassle. I mean it is a bad image for Firefox if the browser doesn't know if it is up-to-date or not?
Actual results:
I had to check version - it was up-to-date, but how many others start worrying or waste time looking for an update that is not available.
Expected results:
I should not have had to check the version - the incorrect message should not have been given to the users.
About Firefox page showing that the version is current version
"a message below the search box"?
Are you sure you're not affacted by a malware or something like that which is trying to force you to download a bad version of Firefox?
Could you test with a clean profile, please.
