From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9.3+) Gecko/20010806 BuildID: 2001080613 When one clicks on the menu bar, the rendering of pages, or the file downloads stops. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download a large file 2.Click on the menu bar 3.Watch the counters on the download status window stop. Expected Results: The counters keep working
iirc 05/13 are fizzilla builds and 04/012 are classic, so this is a fizzilla build, right?

Reporter, please provide an example URL.
erm, i obviously meant 13 not 013 since the hour field is only two digits long... and this doesn't really require a url since it's a generic arch issue (if it's a carbon)
I believe the reporter is referring to the fact that accessing the system menubar isn't supposed to lock up the app (which it does in Mozilla, of course). This is Mac OS X only, and I thought it was supposedly curable with a spritz of Carbon events.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Using Carbon events instead of the event manager ought to prevent this lockup in MacOS and OS X. It would solve a host of other problems scattered all over bugzilla like the download stall problem and the flash problem and the general event sucking problem
pinkerton has (most of) the implement Carbon event bugs and I suspect this one can be closed as a dupe of one of them (but I'm not sure which). Moving to 0.9.9 where pinkerton has his Carbon event bugs targeted.
