User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; Trident/6.0; .NET4.0E; .NET4.0C; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; MDDCJS)

Steps to reproduce:

Accepted auto-update to version 24.1.1

Actual results:

When I open Thunderbird, I get a message in the status bar that says "Looking at cox.net" (cox is my isp). After exiting and trying 2-3 more times, I finally get connected.

Expected results:

I've been using Thunderbird for a long time and when I open it, the connection to the ISP is made. Never had a problem before. The upgrade to 24.1.1 seems to be causing the problem.
Can you check if your firewall may be blocking the updated TB? It often happens with personal firewall on Windows.
